Programming for an Orchestra #4

This is a special program for me. I have been putting it together for a while and one day it all came together almost like magic. These three pieces are tied together in several ways: Bomtempo being the “Portuguese Beethoven”, the first part of the program being in the same key with a choir as a featured, and the character of the Libera me being very close to the funeral march in the slow movement of Eroica. The instrumentation is similar throughout the program (Except for the trombones in Libera me), there is a piano soloist in the first piece, and the timing of both parts of the program are very close.
